Deserved Home Win: RB Leipzig Defeats SC Freiburg - RB Leipzig's women extend unbeaten streak with 2-0 win over Freiburg

RB Leipzig's women's team secured a 2-0 victory over SC Freiburg on Sunday. The win extends their unbeaten run to six matches in a row. A disciplined performance and two second-half goals sealed the result for the hosts.

The deadlock broke in the 52nd minute when Julia Landenberger found the net for Leipzig. Her goal gave the home side a crucial lead early in the second half.

Freiburg's task grew harder ten minutes later. Defender Nicole Ojukwu received a second yellow card for repeated fouls, leaving her team with ten players for the final third of the match. Leipzig capitalised on their numerical advantage in the 78th minute. Delice Boboy doubled the lead, ensuring all three points stayed in Saxony.

The victory lifts Leipzig temporarily to ninth in the league standings. Their unbeaten streak now stretches back over a month and a half. Freiburg, meanwhile, leave empty-handed after a frustrating afternoon.
