Golden Raspberry Award for 'War of the Worlds' and 'Snow White' - Razzies 2025 crown War of the Worlds and Snow White as the year's worst films

The Golden Raspberry Awards, often called the Razzies, have once again highlighted the year's most criticised films. This year's ceremony saw War of the Worlds and Snow White dominate the list of winners. The event, known for its satirical take on Hollywood's biggest flops, took place just days before the Oscars.

The remake of War of the Worlds was named Worst Film of 2025. Ice Cube took home the Razzie for Worst Actor for his performance in the same movie. Meanwhile, Snow White faced heavy backlash for its computer-generated dwarves, which critics described as 'terrifying' and 'horrifying'. All seven digital characters collectively won the award for Worst Supporting Actor.

*Borderlands* also earned the title of Worst Film, while Jack Black received Worst Actor for his role in the same project. Despite the Razzie attention, *Blood & Sinners*—a vampire horror film—received no Oscar nominations, even though it leads this year's Academy Awards race with 16 nods. As usual, none of the Razzie winners attended the ceremony in person. Industry insiders, however, are now turning their focus to the Oscars, where *One Battle After Another* is widely tipped to win Best Picture.

The Razzies continue to serve as a humorous counterpoint to the Oscars, spotlighting films that fell short of expectations. With the Academy Awards approaching, the contrast between the two ceremonies remains stark. This year's Razzie winners will likely avoid the spotlight as Hollywood shifts its attention to more celebrated achievements.
