Rare sports car acquisition by Formula 1 driver: fewer than a hundred exist globally
Valtteri Bottas Receives Exclusive Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Supercar
In a remarkable turn of events, Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas has been gifted a one-of-a-kind Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale supercar. This petrol-powered vehicle, with a limited production run of just 33 units worldwide, stands as the last supercar from Alfa Romeo to feature an internal combustion engine.
The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a modern interpretation of the 1960s Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 race cars, is built on the Maserati MC20 chassis, linking it to a prestigious platform. The car boasts high-performance petrol and electric powertrain options, with the petrol variant being rear-wheel drive, utilising a modern transmission and differential technology that enhances handling and performance.
The internal combustion engine in Bottas' Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is a development of Maserati's Nettuno V6, producing around 607 horsepower. The car is paired with an 8-speed robotic transmission and has rear-wheel drive. An electric version of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale with a targeted output of 750 horsepower is also available, featuring an 800-volt architecture, a 102 kWh battery (90 kWh usable), all-wheel drive, and a range estimated at 280 miles.
The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale presented to Bottas is painted in Alfa Romeo's signature red colour. The interior features a red and black colour scheme with leather and Alcantara upholstery. Bottas chose a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine with 620 horsepower for his Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.
The supercar has already made its debut on the streets of Monaco, where Bottas has been seen driving it. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale is a road-going supercar with a price tag of €3 million, making it an exclusive possession for its 33 owners, including Valtteri Bottas.
Meanwhile, in the world of Formula 1, Bottas has secured the main driver spot at Cadillac, beating out other contenders such as Sergio Perez. It is highly likely that Brazilian Felipe Drugovich will be Bottas' teammate at Cadillac. This marks an exciting new chapter in Bottas' career, as he prepares to race for Cadillac in its first season in Formula 1.
The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, with its blend of historical design cues, cutting-edge technology, and performance, is indeed a fitting gift for a prominent Formula 1 driver like Valtteri Bottas.
Valtteri Bottas, now the main driver at Cadillac in Formula 1, has added another high-performance vehicle to his collection, with a newfound love for sports racing. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a supercar that boasts a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine with 620 horsepower, has been racing on the streets of Monaco, much like the race cars Bottas is familiar with.
