Officials from the Cologne Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that they are probing the eerie circumstances surrounding his untimely demise. The cause of death, as of now, remains shrouded in mystery, with the investigation aiming to uncover if any "criminally relevant external influence" played a part in Xatar's demise. Preliminary autopsy results revealed no external violence[1][2][5].

Xatar, who was born in 1981 to a renowned composer and conductor, and a musician, in Iran, fled with his family to Iraq in the 1980s before settling in Bonn. He made his mark as the founder of Alles oder Nix Records, signing artists like SSIO and Schwesta Ewa, and gaining notoriety in 2009 for pulling off a gold heist worth 1.7 million euros[3]. His eight-year sentence in prison only bolstered his reputation as a gangster-rapper, inspiring the album "Nr 415," recorded in JVA Rheinbach prison, and "Baba aller Babas" which reached number one on the German charts[3].

Xatar's influence extended beyond music, involving himself in the jewelry business, owning a doner kebab shop, and a shisha bar. His final venture, Goldmann Music, faced financial turbulence despite the ambitious Goldmann Tower project in Cologne [4]. Recent months saw Xatar embroiled in health issues, with reports of a 2021 health breakdown and allegedly losing 50 kilograms[4].

The hip-hop fraternity mourns the loss of one of their own, with fellow rappers like Farid Bang, Haftbefehl, and Fler expressing their condolences online[1][2]. Xatar leaves behind a rich legacy, a loving family of five children, and a marked impact on the German music scene.
