Refresh: Here's a peek at Matt Rempe's recent contract extension with the New York Rangers

The NYC-based hockey powerhouses, the New York Rangers, have extended Matt Rempe's contract for another pair of seasons, Chris Drury, the GM, revealed. An anonymous source from The Associated Press whispers in our ears that Rempe will reel in $1.95 million over these two seasons.

This financial info has yet to hit the public eye, our source warns. As for his cap hit, Rempe will be carrying $975,000 for the subsequent two seasons.

Last season, the 22-year-old titan led the Rangers in hits-per-60 minutes at 19.64, placing him sixth among NHL players with at least 40 games under their belt. He hyper-boosted his career-best stats, notches for goals (3), assists (5), and points (8), ending with a minus-7 in 42 games.

Standing at an imposing 6'9" with 255 lbs under his muscle, Rempe has wracked up 10 points (4-6) in 59 career NHL games with the Rangers.

Rempe was originally drafted by the Rangers in the 6th round (165th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft and has seemingly been a treasure trove for their physical prowess on the rink.
