Ralph Lauren to Open Polo Bar Restaurant in London's Mayfair in 2028
Fashion icon Ralph Lauren is set to expand his hospitality empire with a new Polo Bar restaurant near you. The American designer, who received an honorary knighthood from the British royal family in 2019, plans to open this establishment in 2028 at the prestigious 1 Hanover Square in Mayfair. This new Polo Bar will occupy the former Vogue House, previously home to Condé Nast, which moved to the Adelphi Building on the Strand in 2024. This is not Ralph Lauren's first foray into the restaurant business. The Polo Bar in midtown Manhattan has been a popular and hard-to-book destination since its opening in 2015. The London Polo Bar will join a portfolio that includes five restaurants and over 40 Ralph's Coffee locations worldwide. Ralph Lauren's connection to London dates back to 1981 when he opened his first international flagship store in the city. Inspired by his family and his mother's cooking, Lauren decided to enter the restaurant business. He joins other fashion brands like Armani and Louis Vuitton that have also opened restaurants in major cities. The upcoming Polo Bar in London is scheduled to open in 2028, adding another prestigious location to Ralph Lauren's hospitality portfolio. Known for his contributions to fashion and philanthropy, Lauren continues to make his mark on the culinary scene, bringing his unique style and taste to the heart of London.
