Get ready for a grand spectacle in Linz, Upper Austria, as the city gears up for the second-largest May Day march! On May 1st, the heart of the city will witness the Linz Social Democrats' second-biggest May Day rally, a tradition that's been running strong. The parade kicks off at 9 am, starting from the Volksgarden, with this year's motto— "We stand by you. Linz"— highlighting the unity of various sections, associations, organizations, and businesses.

District Party Chairman Prammer sheds light on the bond shared between the Social Democrats and the city of Linz, a relationship that's been solid since 1945. Prammer's recent election as Mayor in January serves as a testament to this strong association. To make your experience more enjoyable, there'll be offerings of drinks, snacks, and seating during the rally at Hauptplatz, along with a bouncy castle for the little ones, courtesy of Linzer Kinderfreunde.

If you're looking for something different, the Mayday alliance has got you covered! Starting at 10:30 am, their march initiates in Schillerpark, passing through the city center, and concluding around 12 pm at Hauptplatz. From 2 pm, the KPO will host a street festival in Melicharstraße.

Now, for the logistics: Due to the May Day marches, there will be transportation interruptions and restrictions. All tram lines will be suspended between Hauptbahnhof and Sonnensteinstraße, as well as Landgutstraße, from 8:30 am to 1 pm.

Last but not least, the FPÖ will celebrate at the Urfahranermarkt, with Federal Party Chairman Herbert Kickl delivering a speech. Stay tuned, Linz, for a day filled with unity, camaraderie, and celebration!
