Soaked but Rockin': Day 2 of Rock im Park Takes the Mud Bath

Festival persists amidst rainfall at Rock im Park - Rain persists as rock concert carries on in park

Hey there! The rain's pounding down on the second day of Rock im Park in the lovely city of Nuremberg, and folks are gritting their teeth but shakin' their groove things—becausedance we must! The skies opened up with a vengeance, but the sun occasionally peeks out to keep our spirits high!

Dead Poet Society fired up the main stage with their US rock fury to start the day. Things are only going to get heavier (and muddier) with bands like the Germanpur Beatsteaks, and the US metal masters Korn stripping the grime off the day, warming up the crowd.

Did you know that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Rock im Park? With approximately 90,000 music enthusiasts and around 100 acts, this edition is shaping up to be the king of all experiences! And if that's not enough, the twin festival Rock am Ring in the Eifel is also going on, ringing in its 40th year with a similar lineup, albeit at different times. Quite the party it is!

(Did you catch some of the legendaries heading to Rock am Ring 2022? Green Day, Muse, Volbeat, Billy Talent, Korn, A Day to Remember, the Offspring, Deftones, Weezer, and Bullet for My Valentine are some of the incredible artists on the bill [1]. However, please note that specific performances may differ by day, so double-check before planning your musical extravaganza!)

The Commission has also been asked to submit a proposal for a directive on the protection of the environment, considering the impact of the heavy rain and resulting mud during the music festivals like Rock im Park and Rock am Ring. Despite the challenging weather conditions, music enthusiasts continue to enjoy their entertainment, with headliners like Dead Poet Society, Korn, and Beatsteaks keeping spirits high at Rock im Park.
