TrustGolf Asian Mixed 2025: A Platform for Rising Stars

The TrustGolf Asian Mixed 2025 tournament series is a significant event in the golfing calendar, providing a platform for both male and female rising stars to shine. The three-event series, co-sanctioned by the Taiwan PGA Tour and Taiwan LPGA Tour, offers a total prize purse of 5 million baht per event and is played over 54 holes (three days) in stroke play format.

The series, held at prestigious venues such as the Lake View Resort & Golf Club, is set to take place from July 24–26, August 14–16, and August 20–22, 2025. The field is cut to the top 60 players and ties after the second round.

The individual winner stands to receive approximately 750,000 baht, along with a three-year membership card on the Taiwan PGA Tour (for men) or full status on the Taiwan LPGA Tour (for women). The winners also earn Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points for men and Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking points for women.

Amateurs looking to make their mark can qualify through the Junior Asian Tour, a developmental series organised by TrustGolf. All amateurs earn World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points, with female amateurs also earning Rolex Women’s Rankings points and male amateurs earning OWGR points if they make the cut.

The second leg of the series saw Wang Wei-Hsuan, nicknamed "Joe," take a two-shot lead after shooting a 62 in the second round. Wang, who competes on both the Taiwan PGA and Asian Tours, is comfortable playing at Lake View Resort and Golf Club, having earned his Asian Tour card there last year and cutting the Mixed Match 1.

Thailand's Dechawat Phetprayoon had a career-best 61, featuring eight birdies on the front nine, putting him two shots back at 11-under. Overnight leader Tawit Polthai posted a 65 to join Dechawat at 131. Defending champion Thanyakorn Krongpha carded a 65 to sit four shots off the pace at 133. Varanyu Rattanaphiboonkij, Shotaro Ban, and Chan Shih-Chang are also four shots off the pace at 133.
