Rain Halts Sri Lanka vs Pakistan ICC Women's WC Match; No Result

The 25th match of the ICC Women's World Cup between Sri Lanka and Pakistan was cut short by rain, resulting in a no-result after just 4.2 overs. This was the fifth such instance at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo during the tournament. Both teams, already out of semifinal contention, shared a point each.

The match was reduced to a 34-over-per-side contest with a seven-over Power-play due to earlier rain delays. Despite the shortened format, the weather had other plans. Pakistan was 18/0 when the rain intervened, with no further play possible.

The remaining fixtures of the Women's World Cup will now shift to India. While the exact next opponent for Pakistan and Sri Lanka after this abandoned match cannot be confirmed, upcoming matches involve teams like South Africa, Australia, England, and India.

The abandoned match in Colombo marked the end of the tournament's stay in Sri Lanka. Both Sri Lanka and Pakistan, having played their final match, will now look ahead to their next challenges in the tournament, set to continue in India.
