Rain advisories issued by Met Éireann for 14 counties over the approaching days
On Friday morning, Ireland is set to experience a drizzly start, with rain mostly clearing eastward but lingering in the southeast, bringing heavy falls at times. The Irish Meteorological Service, Met Éireann, has issued a yellow rain warning for several counties from 2 PM on Friday, including Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, and Waterford, which will remain in effect until midnight.
Elsewhere in Ireland on Friday afternoon, the weather is predicted to be mostly dry with bright or sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees are expected in light to moderate winds.
The area of low pressure to Ireland's south will continue to dominate the weather on Saturday. Met Éireann predicts heavy rain spells affecting the south and east of Ireland on Saturday, potentially thundery. The rain warning will be in force in 14 counties for all day on Saturday, including Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Tipperary, and Waterford. The rain warning for Antrim and Down will apply from Saturday at noon until 3am on Sunday, according to the UK Met Office, with a "small chance" of flooding.
Sunday in Ireland will be a cool, breezy day with sunshine, scattered showers, and highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees. Sunday morning will start wet and blustery in the east before clearing.
