Train Services Disrupted Due to Russian Shelling in Ukraine

Train services in Ukraine have been affected due to overnight Russian artillery fire, causing delays and rerouting of some trains. The repair work on the damaged railway infrastructure is expected to be completed by the morning of September 16, 2025, allowing for the resumption of regular train services.

One of the trains severely affected is the Dnipro - Chełm service, specifically trains No119 and No120. Passengers of these trains are being met by 6 buses in Chełm for onward travel to Lublin and Warsaw, as the trains are expected to continue being delayed.

Another affected train is the Intercity+ train No731 from Zaporizhzhia to Kyiv. The train will arrive in Kyiv delayed, and passengers are advised to wait for the end of the curfew at the station. No backup locomotives or food portions have been mentioned for this train, and passengers are encouraged to check notifications in the Ukrzaliznytsia app for updates.

The delay on the Dnipro direction is due to an enemy attack, causing a subsequent power outage. Trains are passing through under backup locomotives prepared by railway workers.

In a statement, the head of the board of PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Alexander Peredriy announced the delays on the Dnipro direction on the night of September 17. Passengers are advised to monitor updates on UZ's official pages for further information.

Passengers of 6 Dnipro-bound trains with the longest delays have received 1500 food portions. It is recommended that all passengers stay informed and patient during this challenging time.
