Racing Engines Roar Once More at La Salle Speedway
Racing engines echoed through the air once more at La Salle's speedway, situated along Route 6, after a nearly six-year hiatus. Last night’s practice night marked the anticipated return of the LaSalle Speedway and Event Center, slated for exciting races and big money prizes starting May 6th.
Back in June 2019, the speedway had come to a halt. But this season, it's more than just dirt track races on the schedule. Monster trucks and a rodeo are also set to light up the track.
Looking forward, the much-anticipated FloRacing Night in America race, offering a juicy $20,000 prize, will take place on May 6th. The spring and summer season also includes the Illinois Valley Showdown on May 30-31, featuring a thrilling MARS Late Models race with a $25,000 prize up for grabs on May 31st. These events are part of Illinois Speedweek, which entails races at Spoon River Speedway on May 7th and Lincoln Speedway on May 8th. Keep an eye on the LaSalle Speedway’s official schedule for updates on future events, as the track often hosts local and regional series during the summer months.
