Step aside, red carpets! Simone Ashley, the 30-year-old actress who slayed on the Bridgerton series, stole the show at the London premiere of Formula 1 (F1)—brave and beautiful, even with her role in the movie trimmed down.

Dripping in gold, Ashley wore a futuristic Balmain gown that took your breath away! With a sleek halter neckline and A-line silhouette, functional yet fabulous, the ensemble was studded with dazzling, three-dimensional, rectangular embellishments. She let the dress shine brightly, pairing it with matching Jimmy Choo sandals and eyecatching gold earrings.

Ashley was set to ride along with leading man Brad Pitt in the high-speed racing drama, but earlier this month, she shared with Elle that she was just ecstatic about her "tiny part" in the film. Alas, director Joseph Kosinski later confessed to People that—disappointingly common in filmmaking—her beloved role was edited out of the final cut.

Don't worry, though! Kosinski applauded Ashley's talent and declared he'd love to collaborate with her again, emphasizing her incredible acting chops and pitch-perfect singing voice.

Time to Rev the Engines: What's "F1" All About?

Gear up! Brad Pitt slips into the character of Sonny Hayes, once considered the most promising F1 talent that never quite reached the pinnacle. In the 90s, he was known as "The Best Who Never Was." After a horror-filled crash on the track nearly ended his career, he now scrapes by as a part-time driver.

One fateful day, Sonny's past comes whizzing back into his life when his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (played by Javier Bardem) approaches him. As the current owner of a struggling F1 team, Ruben pleads with Sonny to return to Formula 1 to save the team and attempt one final shot at proving himself the world's best driver.
