Greyhound Racing Highlights: Not So Steady, Romeo Steel Shine

In the world of greyhound racing, two names have been making waves recently – Not So Steady and Romeo Steel.

Not So Steady, a Towcester greyhound, is expected to be a promising contender. Comparisons have been drawn with Romeo Steel, a greyhound that has been setting records and winning races.

Romeo Steel, owned and bred by Dave Firmager, has been making headlines. The greyhound recently won the 79th Click Competitions East Anglian Derby, completing an unbeaten run in the competition. Firmager, who invests significantly in greyhound racing, has also been using straws from Australia and focusing on proper rearing practices to nurture his greyhounds.

The victory was Romeo Steel's third title in a row, having previously won Category Three and Category Two. The race saw Romeo Steel set a new track record of 27.04sec for the 462m trip in the semi-finals. In the final, Romeo Steel kept Bockos Buster honest into the turn, but pulled away to win comfortably. 20-1 Burrows Steel took second place, finishing over five lengths behind Romeo Steel.

Meanwhile, Romeo Steel's owner-breeder remains undisclosed in the available search results.

Not So Steady, on the other hand, is still relatively immature and has much to learn. The greyhound, however, has shown promise, returning to racing and making all in a one-off race with a time of 27.50sec.

Elsewhere in the racing world, Outdoor Cracker won a 659m race with a time of 40.75sec. Eric Samuels notched a double with Outdoor Cracker and Kereight Fraud, with Kereight Fraud winning a 462m race with a time of 28.03sec.

Acejukeboxpopper won the MWD Partnership Sprint final with a time of 16.09sec. Yahoo Megan could not overcome a trap five draw in the MWD Partnership Sprint final.

In other notable news, Newinn Cloud won the Derby Purse with a victory over Wrighty.

As the racing season continues, both Not So Steady and Romeo Steel are expected to be major contenders. Romeo Steel's next target is Sheffield's BresBet Steel City Cup, while Not So Steady has more races to learn and grow. Stay tuned for more updates from the world of greyhound racing!
