The 20th edition of the Jücht Run, a popular annual event in the picturesque town of Himmelgeist, is set to take place on Sunday, May 11th. However, details about the route, schedule, and registration information for this year's event are not widely available online.

The event, organised by the Himmelgeist 1100 association, promises a fun-filled day of running for participants of all ages. The Jücht Run includes a 10-kilometer run, a 5.4-kilometer route, a 1.4-kilometer children's run, and a 600-meter toddler run.

The parish garden serves as the central meeting point for the event, with the start of the Jücht Run located near Kölner Weg/Nikolausstraße, and the finish at Nikolausstraße/Alt Himmelgeist. The course runs through the Jücht on roads, paths, fields, and forests, featuring a mix of asphalt, gravel, and wood chip surfaces.

For those with young children, the toddler run (grades 2018 and younger) is approximately 600 meters long and starts at 1:45 pm, with an entry fee of 5 euros. The children's run (grades 2010-2017) follows at 1:15 pm, also with an entry fee of 5 euros. The main event, the 10 km run, starts at 11 am, with an entry fee of 18 euros. The approximately 5.4 km run starts at 12:30 pm, with an entry fee of 15 euros.

Registration and further information can be found on the official event website, Himmelgeist1100.de. Participants can also pick up their start materials and register at the parish lawn of St. Nikolaus (Nikolausstraße 22) on Saturday from 4 to 6 pm and Sunday from 9:30 am.

For those planning to travel by public transport, the bus 835 with the Alt Himmelgeist stop is the recommended option. Due to the event taking place in public traffic areas, strict adherence to traffic regulations is required. Parking is recommended between Himmelgeist and Itter, with consideration of parking restrictions. Parking restrictions will be enforced on the event day, and traffic regulations must be strictly followed during the event.

If you're a local resident or planning to visit Himmelgeist, checking local community websites or social media pages, visiting the official event organiser’s website, contacting local sports clubs or the town’s event office, or looking for announcements or flyers in the Himmelgeist area may help you find more specific details about the event.

Team relay races will not be offered this year. Late registration (up to 45 minutes before the start) is available for an additional 3 euros.

We hope this information helps you prepare for the exciting 20th Jücht Run in Himmelgeist. Good luck, and we look forward to seeing you there!
