Race series ADAC GT4 Germany resurfaces at Sachsenring track once again

The much-anticipated race weekend at the Sachsenring is just around the corner, with tickets available for purchase on dtm.com for 49 euros.

For those who can't make it to the track, there are multiple options to catch the action live. Sky Sport Mix will broadcast the Saturday race live from 19:30, and the Sunday race re-live from 21:30. Sport 1 will air the Sunday race live on free TV from 15:00. A livestream of the races can also be accessed on adac.de/motorsport, ServusTV ON, Joyn, sport1.de, and youtube.com/adacmotorsports.

Jan Philipp Springob, a 24-year-old racer from Olpe, is excited about the Sachsenring, expressing his enthusiasm about many guests and a good setup found during testing. He believes they have a good chance of securing front-row places. His teammate, Storm Gjerdrum, a 16-year-old Norwegian driver, will also be competing in an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 for COSY Racing by ESM. COSY Racing by ESM, based in Crimmitschau, a few kilometers from the Sachsenring, is another team to watch out for.

Raphael Rennhofer, an 18-year-old Austrian driver, and Emil Heyerdahl, a 23-year-old Norwegian, are also within striking distance. Linus Hahne, a 21-year-old racer from Oelde, and ADAC Stiftung Sport protégé Thomas Rackl, a 17-year-old from Berching, will be strong contenders at the Sachsenring. Niels Tröger, a 22-year-old from Dresden, will have a home race at the Sachsenring, sharing a BMW with Andreas Jochimsen, a 27-year-old from Denmark.

Tröger is particularly excited about racing at the Sachsenring, especially since it won't be on the ADAC GT4 Germany calendar in 2024. The Sachsenring, a 3.645-kilometer-long track near Chemnitz, is a popular circuit among racers, and the triple-left uphill section is a fast part of the season, according to Springob, providing great action.

Enrico Förderer and Jay Mo Härtling currently lead the driver standings with four wins and another podium finish in six races. Gabriele Piana and Berkay Besler are close behind after securing their first season victory at the Nürburgring. The teams FK Performance Motorsport and ME Motorsport participated in the 2025 ADAC GT4 Germany races at Sachsenring and are notable as strong contenders. However, it's unclear whether these teams are new to Sachsenring compared to the previous year, as the search results do not specify this information definitively.

The ADAC GT4 Germany series is in its fourth round of the season, and the first race will start on Saturday at 15:35, with the second race starting on Sunday at 15:15. The series' return to the Sachsenring promises an exciting weekend of racing, and fans are eagerly awaiting the action.
