Hamilton's Poker Face

Piastri, after maintaining the lead for the greater part of the race, felt "a bit disappointed" not to have the opportunity to fight back on the final laps, stating, “I did pretty much everything right, but racing is a cruel business."

On the other hand, Hamilton, the first of the frontrunners to switch to slicks, felt "delighted" about the podium finish, considering he won the sprint race in China3.

"This is the first time we have been on track in the wet here, and what a race it was,” exclaimed Hamilton, expressing excitement about the riveting race experience.

"I really struggled on the inters - everyone was struggling on them. I made the call to come in because I was going nowhere. I took the risk, and it paid off.” Though Hamilton wished he had a couple more laps to duke it out with the leaders, he lauded McLaren's impressive performance2.
