Quinnipiac Bobcats stun Pittsburgh for historic ACC victory
Quinnipiac secured its first-ever win over an Atlantic Coast Conference team with an 83-75 victory against Pittsburgh. Amarri Monroe led the Bobcats with 25 points, while Barry Dunning Jr. struggled from long range for the Panthers.
Quinnipiac dominated early, shooting 68% from the floor in the first half. They took a 47-37 lead into the break, with Monroe contributing 10 points and Grant Randall adding 9. Randall finished with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
The victory marks Quinnipiac’s first win over an ACC opponent. Monroe’s strong performance and the team’s efficient shooting proved decisive. Pittsburgh’s late rally wasn’t enough to overcome the Bobcats’ early dominance.
