Quick evening activities spotted in Wörth am Rhein, alongside political groups in Jockgrim and Hagenbach
The past week has seen a series of incidents involving disorderly conduct at various festivals and Fasnacht parades in the Rhineland-Palatinate region.
On Monday, a 45-year-old man was reported to the police in Jockgrim for being under the influence of alcohol. During his restraint, he repeatedly insulted and threatened the officers, leading to a criminal proceeding and his subsequent protective custody. On the same day, Fasnacht parades took place in Jockgrim and Neuburg.
On Tuesday, Fasnacht parades concluded in Hagenbach, Rheinzabern, and Schaidt. However, the day was not without incident. In Rheinzabern, a 21-year-old man, also under the influence of alcohol, was ejected from the security personnel of the festival hall. Despite being issued a ban, he did not comply and tried to re-enter, resulting in minor injuries and a subsequent arrest. A criminal proceeding for bodily harm was initiated against the 21-year-old man.
In a separate incident in Hagenbach, two individuals, a 23-year-old and a 29-year-old, insulted and threatened the employees of the local authority during a personal check on the festival grounds. This led to a criminal proceeding.
Similar incidents occurred on Tuesday evening in Jockgrim, where an individual was taken into custody for not complying with a ban, and the employees of the local authority of the Verbandsgemeinde Hagenbach were insulted and threatened during a personal check on the festival grounds.
