She presents herself with the grandchildren - Queen Silvia of Sweden shares festive joy with grandchildren in palace tradition

Queen Silvia of Sweden has decorated a Christmas tree with her grandchildren at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The event included Princess Estelle, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, and Princess Adrienne. It comes ahead of her upcoming honour in Germany next month.

The 81-year-old monarch spent time with four of her youngest descendants during the festive tradition. Princess Estelle, aged 13, was seen holding her 10-month-old cousin, Princess Ines, while helping to trim the tree. Princess Leonore, 11, Prince Nicolas, 10, and Princess Adrienne, 7, also took part in the decorations.

The Christmas tree event marked a family moment before Queen Silvia’s formal recognition in Germany. Her medal ceremony will take place in Munich, honouring decades of humanitarian efforts. The occasion follows a period of public attention on the Swedish royals.
