Queen Latifah's contribution doesn't stop at hosting, as she's also in the running for an Image Award herself, thanks to her captivating performance in CBS's The Equalizer.

Acknowledging and honoring the outstanding achievements of multicultural artists, entertainers, and influencers, the NAACP Image Awards has gathered a formidable list of nominees this year. Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar tie for the most nominations with five each. Joining the ranks, Angela Bassett, with her thought-provoking performance in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, keeps the awards season buzzing. Bassett is not alone, as she's joined by a star-studded lineup of nominees such as Mary J. Blige, Quinta Brunson, Viola Davis, and Zendaya, all competing for the coveted "Entertainer of the Year" award.

Other notable nominees include Donald Glover, Will Smith, Lizzo, Danielle Deadweiler, Jonathan Majors, and Drake. The ceremony is not lacking star power, with Kerry Washington, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Cliff "Method Man" Smith confirmed to attend.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are set to receive the President's Award, an esteemed accolade recognizing their exceptional public service achievements.

Communicating the magic of Black achievement worldwide, the awards ceremony will broadcast live on BET on February 25, 2023, at 8 PM ET. Simultaneously, the broadcast will be available on BET Her, CBS, CMT, Comedy Central, LOGO, MTV, MTV2, Paramount Network, POP TV, Smithsonian, TV Land, and VH1.

While Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar lead the nominations for the "Entertainer of the Year" award, they're not alone. Additional nominees include Cynthia Erivo, Keke Palmer, and Shannon Sharpe[4].
