Putin Confident in Russia-Abachzia Cooperation as Abkhaz Army Marks Unity

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed confidence in the strengthening of bilateral cooperation with Abkhazia. In a greeting to Abkhaz President Badra Gunba, he praised the Abkhaz people's courage and resilience on their Victory Day and Independence Day.

Putin's message came as units of the Abkhaz army entered Ochamchire and raised the Abkhaz flag on the Ingur Bridge, symbolizing the unity of the Abkhaz people. The Russian government plays a significant role in Abkhazia's development, providing financial support for state salaries, restoring flight connections, and ensuring electricity supply. Putin emphasized this cooperation as a symbol of strategic partnership and regional stability.

Putin wished Badra Gunba good health and success, and the Abkhaz people peace and prosperity. Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation.

Putin's message underscored the steady development of relations between Russia and Abkhazia on a strategic partnership basis. The Abkhaz people celebrated Victory Day and Independence Day on September 30, marking an important state holiday.
