Just now, the fourth chat between our president and the U.S.A's Prez Donald Trump wrapped up. Spanning an hour and ten minutes, this conversation saw a deep dive into the Ukrainian quandary, among other pressing issues.

The chat kicked off with a discussion on the Ukraine standoff, with Putin giving an in-depth rundown of the outcomes of the second round of face-to-face Russia-Ukraine talks in Istanbul. Highlighting the talks' productivity, Putin vehemently criticized Kyiv for attempting to derail the negotiations by bombarding civilian areas in the Kursk and Bryansk regions.

Meanwhile, Trump voiced his dismay over the U.S.'s lack of knowledge about Kyiv's plans to assault Russian airfields. The details of Putin's response to Trump's remarks were kept hush-hush, according to Putin's assistant. Both leaders agreed to continue their dialogues at various levels regarding the Ukrainian standoff.

Apart from the Ukrainian crisis, Putin and Trump also discussed global topics, such as the deadlock in U.S.-Iran talks over Iran's nuclear program. Trump humbly pleaded for Russia's help in engaging with the Iranian side.

Trump took to Truth Social, penning, "This was a decent talk, but it won't result in an instant truce." Trump later deleted this post and re-shared it without changes, indicating his conviction about the situation.

On June 4, Putin held a meeting with the Russian government and claimed that the Kyiv administration is disinterested in peace due to their insecurity about losing power. He also questioned the feasibility of a summit with Ukraine in light of the terror attacks in Bryansk and Kursk regions, which he deemed as deliberate strikes against the civilian populace. "Who's negotiating with these power-hungry terrorists? And why grant them a ceasefire?", Putin pondered.

Before the Istanbul talks, on the night of May 31 to June 1, two bridge spans in Bryansk and Kursk regions collapsed. The Investigative Committee attributed the cause to explosions. On June 1, another blast occurred in the Bryansk region under a locomotive, as stated by Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin. The incidents in both regions were classified as terrorist activities, according to Bastrykin, who pinned the blame on Ukrainian special services.

Notably, on June 1, Kyiv utilized drones equipped with FPV (First-Person View) technology to attack Russian airfields in several regions, as reported by the Ministry of Defense. The airfields in Murmansk and Irkutsk faced fires due to the attacks, but there were no casualties among military personnel and civilian staff.
