Pushing for Elections: If Moreno Were Capable, He Could Have Initiated 40 Plebiscites Regarding Sánchez
In the political landscape of Andalusia, the People's Party of Andalusia (PP-A) has taken a firm stance, calling for a shift away from contentious debates and towards constructive law-making.
Toni Martín, the parliamentary spokesman for the PP-A, has been vocal in his criticism of what he perceives as childish behaviour and the use of false figures by the PSOE in questioning agreements with private health. He has also expressed his disapproval of the polarizing debates put forth by parties such as PSOE-A and Vox, which he believes are aimed at dynamiting the moderation of the citizens.
In an effort to improve the lives of Andalusians, the PP-A has set its sights on passing a series of laws focusing on Housing, Universities, Third Sector, Forests, Environmental Agents, and Budgets for 2026. Toni Martín has stated that the PP-A expects to pass eight or ten laws in the parliamentary period.
The PP-A spokesman has also addressed the topic of potential early elections, stating that it makes no sense for the rest of the parties to be in a debate about when the elections will be. He has further urged all deputies, including those of his group, to focus on passing laws instead of debating irrelevant matters.
In response to a question about the possibility of an advance of the elections in Andalusia and Castile and León to convert the autonomous ones into a "plebiscite" on the management of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, Toni Martín has asserted that if the president of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, sought to propose a plebiscite on Pedro Sánchez, he could have called the elections 40 times over the years.
The PP-A spokesman has also lamented the mistreatment of Pedro Sánchez and his Government to Andalusia, and warned that the constant mistreatment is not solved with elections, as it uses the levers of the State for its own benefit.
Meanwhile, Manuel Gavira, the Vox homologue, has opened the door to requesting entry into the Andalusian Government if Moreno does not renew his absolute majority. Gavira, who was previously the People's Party spokesperson in Andalusia, has been invited by Toni Martín to work in the Parliament and not when there are elections if he wants to be part of something positive for Andalusia.
As the political landscape in Andalusia continues to evolve, the PP-A remains focused on its mission to pass laws aimed at improving the lives of Andalusians, and to encourage a more constructive and less polarizing political discourse.
