The excitement for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Paralympics is building, and ticket sales are already underway. Here's a rundown of what we know so far.

The London Olympics still holds the Paralympic record for ticket sales, having sold 2.7 million tickets. However, the Paris organizing committee recently broke this record, selling a total of 12 million tickets for both the Olympics and Paralympics. Notably, the Paris ticket registration process started in November 2022, while the Los Angeles ticket sales have commenced earlier, in advance of the games.

Fans can register to enter the lottery for Olympic tickets at la28.org. General registration for 2028 Olympic tickets will open in January 2026. Those who register will be eligible for a random draw, and if selected, they will receive a purchase time and date for when ticket drops begin in spring 2026.

Hospitality packages offered by On Location will be available for the 2028 L.A. Olympics on a first-come, first-served basis beginning in early 2026. These packages include guaranteed accommodations, official LA28 transportation options, and premium seating. Fans who are not selected for the first round of ticket drops will be automatically entered into subsequent ones.

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympic organisers have released the dates for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as for the Paralympics. The Olympics begin on July 14, 2028, with a dual-venue opening ceremony at the Coliseum and SoFi Stadium. They close on July 30 at the Coliseum, while the Paralympics come to L.A. for the first time from Aug. 15-27.

Several competitions during the 2028 L.A. Olympics have been released by organisers, including popular events such as track and field and swimming. Single-event tickets will start at $28.

L.A., Long Beach, and Carson will host the majority of the Paralympic events. Downtown L.A., Exposition Park, Sepulveda Basin, Long Beach, Inglewood, and Carson will host multiple Olympic events.

AXS and Eventim, the official ticket provider for the 2028 L.A. Olympics and Paralympics, expanded their partnership with LA28. Tickets to the Paralympics will go on sale in 2027.

The Olympics will feature a unique dual-venue opening ceremony, with events taking place at the Coliseum and SoFi Stadium. Olympic venue cities will have early access for locals.
