Punjab & Sind Bank opens new FGM office in Mumbai
Punjab & Sind Bank has opened a new Field General Manager (FGM) Office in Mumbai. The launch marks a step to boost the bank’s regional operations in western and southern India. Managing Director & CEO Swarup Kumar Saha officially inaugurated the facility on Monday.
The Mumbai office will act as a hub for better service delivery, regional performance, and customer engagement. It aims to speed up decision-making, strengthen supervisory oversight, and support branches across several states.
The bank’s strategic focus remains on the Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) sectors. Women-led enterprises form a key growth area, with tailored products like Self Help Group (SHG) financing already in place. Officials highlighted the bank’s commitment to customer-centric growth, operational efficiency, and responsible banking practices.
The new office is set to enhance the bank’s presence in western and southern India. Faster operations and improved regional coordination are expected to follow. The move aligns with the bank’s broader goals of expanding service quality and supporting key economic sectors.
