Today, they're better known for blockbuster book series such as "Harry Potter," "The School of Magic Animals," "Percy Jackson," the "Twilight" saga, and Japanese manga albums from series like "Naruto" and "One Piece."

The CEO of Germany's Bonnier Group, who owns Carlsen, heaped praise on Renate Herre for her entrepreneurial spirit. settlement under Herre's leadership, the publishing house expanded its revenue to an incredible 110 million euros—making it the largest German trade publisher! Harzer-Kux aims to build on that stellar success; the future's looking bright!

In recent years, Harzer-Kux has held top positions in the media industry, including at publishing house Gruner+Jahr and communications company Territory. Current director, Joachim Knuth, will make room for NDR manager and journalist Hendrik Lünenborg.
