Public service principles underscored as crucial by Tessori
Governor Tessori Urges Young Officers to Embrace Principled Public Service
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has called upon young officers from the Civil Services Academy to uphold public service, honesty, and transparency as their core principles, emphasizing the importance of impartial service to the nation, timely decision making, and effective resolution of public issues.
During a meeting at Governor House Karachi, Tessori addressed a delegation of probationary officers, comprising members of the 48th STP-PAS and the 12th DS (MCMC). He stated that these young officers are valuable assets to the country and must strive to uphold these principles in their service.
The delegation was given a tour of the Governor's welfare initiatives, including the "Bell of Hope," the "Ration Marquee," the "IT Marquee," and the historic office of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. These initiatives aim to strengthen governance through principled public service and address the needs of citizens directly.
The "Bell of Hope" is a programme designed to provide immediate assistance to those in need, while the "Ration Marquee" provides food relief to the less fortunate. The "IT Marquee," on the other hand, focuses on leveraging technology to improve public service delivery.
Tessori encouraged the officers to make impartial service to the nation their mission, emphasizing the importance of honesty and transparency in their work. He also emphasized the need for timely decision making and effective resolution of public issues.
The visit to the historic office of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah served as a reminder of the founding father's vision for Pakistan and the principles upon which the nation was built.
This framework aligns with Tessori's broader agenda to improve public administration transparency and efficiency in Sindh. By focusing on principled public service and welfare projects that address citizen needs directly, Tessori aims to create a more responsive and effective government in Sindh.
