Dr. Drew Pinsky's alleged stalker confirmed no laughing matter as he reveled in threats to kill his family.

The addiction specialist shared his personal account of psychotic stalking in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, also the focus of this week's episode of "Hollywood Demons."

When Dr. Drew crossed paths with his stalker, things took a dangerous turn. Though they never encountered each other, the man made aggressive assaults on Dr. Drew's family, rattling their peace.

"One night, I was at the radio, and someone mistakenly thought I was him," the longtime host of "Loveline" detailed. "They had driven out, and he jumped on their hood, raving about me. It's wild!"

Dr. Drew's stalker allegedly utilized small claims court to launch harassment campaigns against the renowned psychiatrist. The escalating situation ignited close calls as the man began to appear in places frequented by Dr. Drew.

"He threatened my family with violence and even tried using ridiculous accusations in small claims court," Dr. Drew divulged. "One particularly insane claim suggested I had implanted an electronic device in his tooth! It was insane stuff! I tossed the first two summonses away. I couldn't believe the court would take this nonsense seriously. Eventually, I had to go in."

Despite his children being under active threat, Dr. Drew reluctantly kept the situation private. It was his wife who astonishingly solved the entire case.

"It was funny when the media reported on it," he shared with a smile. "They credited me with having a cybersecurity specialist. In reality, that was all my wife who did on her own. She had her proudest moment in my eyes."

Dr. Drew's wife, Susan, pieced together the stalker's digital trail, presenting the local police with damning evidence: "She painstakingly collated everything she'd uncovered. It was a long saga. First, he was stalking me through MySpace, then through the courts, and then in person, near the radio station. We even found an elaborate website filled with threats."

Dr. Drew recalled his wife telling the Pasadena police officer, "He claims he's going to come to our house and kill my children, eat them in front of me. You need to get this guy. Do you understand?"

"She declared, 'I'm not afraid to die. If you don't get him, I will. I'm not afraid to die.' The cops were taken aback, yet it was still her proudest moment, as far as I'm concerned."

At the time, Dr. Drew perceived the stalker as suffering from amphetamine-induced psychosis.

"Los Angeles has an effective department within the DEA dedicated to prosecuting stalkers," Dr. Drew remarked. "I was working alongside them. I said, 'This is psychotic stalking, and this is a meth addict. Treat his meth addiction – and he'll have to go away and be in treatment for a long time.' And he ended up in a dual diagnosis program for two years."

"And guess what? He was better afterward – much improved. He hasn't been stalking since – treatment works."

The plot originated when a man in jail attempted to contact Bieber unsuccessfully. He then recruited his nephew and another man to execute their plan to breach Bieber's home, castrate him with garden shears, and subsequently murder him.

Bullock, an actress, found herself in a harrowing situation when a stalker successfully forced his way into her home while she was present.

"The truth that Joshua Corbett managed to climb a wall, get through security, infiltrate the house shows the potential for serious consequences," Dr. Drew said.

Corbett, with delusional beliefs that Bullock was his wife, carried a notebook filled with photos of the actress, poetry, and a love letter. "This reveals the hallucinations of Joshua Corbett – he actually believed he was married to Sandra Bullock."

Erotomania, a mental health condition characterized by delusional beliefs of romantic affection, was at play in this case.

"On one hand, he proclaims his marriage to Sandra Bullock, while on the other hand, he's promising to violently sexually assault her – this is akin to Unabomber level psychosis. It's delusional. But this incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed when adoration transforms into obsession."
