Paris Saint-Germain's goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs following the French team's announcement that he is available for transfer.

Donnarumma's suspension for the UEFA Super Cup due to a red card in the Club World Cup final against Chelsea has left PSG without their first-choice goalkeeper for the upcoming final against Tottenham. In his absence, Lucas Chevalier, who has signed a five-year deal with PSG and is now considered their no.1 goalkeeper, will take his place.

Donnarumma joined PSG from AC Milan in 2021 but has not extended his initial five-year deal since. His relationship with the club is considered over following his exclusion from the UEFA Super Cup squad. During his time with PSG, Donnarumma made 161 appearances and kept 56 clean sheets, winning ten major trophies including the treble last season and four league titles.

Manchester City is the leading candidate for Donnarumma this summer, with their pursuit of the goalkeeper contingent on the potential departure of their current No. 1 goalkeeper Ederson, who has been linked with a move to Galatasaray. However, Ederson's transfer seems less certain now, which has put Donnarumma's deal at risk or in jeopardy.

Chelsea showed initial interest but have reportedly removed Donnarumma from their transfer wishlist. Manchester United also showed some previous interest but are currently not actively pursuing the goalkeeper. Galatasaray, more interested in signing Ederson than Donnarumma, could potentially be a factor in Donnarumma's move.

Donnarumma's agent has stated that only clubs in the Premier League can meet PSG’s steep €50 million asking price, reinforcing the view that his next club will be in England. The Italian goalkeeper himself prefers a move to the Premier League if he leaves PSG this summer.

The UEFA Super Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham will take place on Wednesday night and can be listened to live on talkSPORT. It remains to be seen where Donnarumma's future lies, but one thing is certain—the Premier League is his most likely destination.
