In Berlin, on Monday evening, a pro-Palestinian rally took place near the Chancellery, with around 188 individuals temporarily detained by the police. The rally occurred on John-Foster-Dulles-Alle, within walking distance of the Federal Chancellery.

Approximately 150 protesters marched from a protest camp on Heinrich-von-Gagern-Straße, where allegations of chanting banned slogans were reported. Among the slogans shouted were "Sinwar, Sinwar" in reference to the late Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, and "Israel will never be." Repeated attempts to resist identification and escape were made by some protesters, which were met with tear gas responses from the police.

A total of 230 police officers were on duty during the rally to maintain order. Unfortunately, five police officers were slightly injured during the protests. The police could not find a responsible contact person for the demonstration and therefore disbanded it.

Charges were filed against 183 of the detained individuals for various offenses, including the use of symbols of unconstitutional and terrorist organizations, resistance against law enforcement, assault on law enforcement officers, and disturbing the peace. The search results do not specify who praised the participants of the demonstration.

All 188 temporarily detained individuals, including 122 women, 65 men, and one diverse person, were released after their personal details were recorded. A second, smaller group of protesters was also temporarily detained, but further details about them have not been disclosed.

The police announced the details of the charges and detentions, emphasizing their commitment to upholding the law and maintaining peace during public gatherings. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of peaceful protests and respect for the law in democratic societies.
