Russian Telegram channels and social media outlets are spreading false reports of a protest in Kyiv, Ukraine, organized by the Ukrainian military. The alleged protest is calling for an end to the war. However, the Central Democratic Party of Ukraine has stated on Facebook that while a demonstration did occur, it did not have an anti-war character. The party also denies that illegal actions by the police were performed during the demonstration.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Council of Europe have agreed to establish a special tribunal for crimes committed against Ukraine. The aim is to hold top Russian leaders accountable for their actions in the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. The judicial body will be based in The Hague, Netherlands.

Finland welcomes a planned reinforcement of NATO land forces in the north of the country. Sweden is set to lead the unit, with an increase to up to a brigade of around 5,000 soldiers planned in case of a deterioration in the security situation. Finland, with the longest border of any NATO country with Russia, appreciates the increased military presence.

A downed Russian AI drone has been discovered in Ukraine. The drone, equipped with an improved navigation system and AI-assisted heat-seeking module, is similar to the Shahed drone but more advanced. The satellite navigation system is less susceptible to radio interference, making it harder to detect and disrupt. The warhead of the drone is the same as in the original Shahed drones.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has urged the US to show the same determination in Ukraine as in Iran. Meloni made the statement during her meeting with US President Donald Trump at the NATO summit in The Hague. Both leaders spoke at length about the situation in Ukraine and the need for a resolution to the conflict.

US President Donald Trump has expressed interest in supplying additional missiles for Ukraine's Patriot air defense system. Trump met with Zelensky at the NATO summit and emphasized the importance of defending Ukraine against Russian aggression. The US is looking into the possibility of providing the equipment to Ukraine.

The Kremlin has blamed the US for the stalemate in negotiations over the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Russian government accuses the US of not being ready to address the difficulties hindering the work of the embassies. In recent months, Trump had sought direct talks with Putin to achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine, but these efforts have failed.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte has announced that the US will gradually reduce its contribution to the military alliance. Rutte said that this move is in the context of increasing contributions from European member states. There will be no gaps, and the process will be well-organized.

During the NATO summit, US President Donald Trump has spoken about the potential for drone co-production with Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend the Brics summit in Brazil due to an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for allegedly abducting Ukrainian children. Instead, Putin will participate via video link due to "certain difficulties related to the requirements of the ICC."

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has announced that Spain will not increase its defense spending to five percent as agreed upon by NATO. Trump finds it "terrible" that Spain "doesn't want to pay up" and warns of higher tariffs on Spain in future trade deals if the country does not increase its defense spending.

Ukraine continues to face intense military pressure from Russian forces along the contact line, with attacks expected to continue throughout the summer. Russia is believed to be focusing on incremental territorial gains despite heavy losses, further straining relations between Ukraine and Russia.
