In a significant development, the organisers of the Gaza protest, "Die Linke" (The Left), have reached an agreement with the organisers of the marathon scheduled for September 21, allowing the protest to take place at the Brandenburg Gate on Saturday.

Initially, the protest was planned for the Platz des 18. März, but due to concerns over the previous alternative location on the Straße des 17. Juni, an urgent application was filed with the Administrative Court of Berlin. However, the new location at the Brandenburg Gate, approximately 600 meters away from the initial alternative, has been found acceptable, making the application unnecessary.

The protest is directed against Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip and fundamentally opposes arms deliveries to war zones. The slogan of the protest is a powerful call for peace: "Peace instead of an arms race."

Notably, the protest will involve prominent figures such as Sahra Wagenknecht, Massiv, and Dieter Hallervorden. The protest area at the Brandenburg Gate can accommodate up to 15,000 people.

Cooperation talks with the organiser of the new location are ongoing, and the protest is still scheduled for Saturday. The organisers of the marathon have agreed to accommodate the protest, despite initially needing space for their setup.

It is important to note that the protest will not be taking place at the Brandenburg Gate, as a misunderstanding previously suggested. The exact location of the protest within the Brandenburg Gate area will be determined during the ongoing cooperation talks.

This development marks a significant step towards peaceful protest and dialogue, as the Gaza conflict continues to garner global attention. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
