Seidel's run at the Cincinnati Masters was nothing short of spectacular. She started by defeating Polina Kudermetova, a surprising victory given Kudermetova's high ranking. The win over Kudermetova was followed by an even more significant upset, as Seidel defeated the 8th seed Emma Navarro, a top-20 player. This victory propelled Seidel into the fourth round, where she faced Varvara Gracheva. Although Seidel lost the match in a tight three-set affair, her performance at the Cincinnati Masters was undoubtedly a breakthrough.
Prior to her success at Cincinnati, Seidel had a noteworthy year. She reached the quarterfinals at the Transylvania Open, defeating seeded players including Jaqueline Cristian before losing to the eventual champion Anastasia Potapova. Seidel also qualified for her first Wimbledon main draw but retired due to an injury during the first round.
Seidel's debut at the WTA 1000 level came at the Cincinnati Open in August 2025, where she won her first WTA 1000 match against Polina Kudermetova. Her success continued as she upset the 8th seed Emma Navarro and defeated 29th seed McCartney Kessler, marking the biggest achievement of her career. As of August 21, 2025, Seidel is currently competing in the US Open qualifying rounds. She has already won her first two matches, defeating Kathinka Von Deichmann and Sachia Vickery. Her next potential match is in the US Open qualifying rounds.
