Prosperous period for Sonique investors
The racing action at Romford on August 24, 2025, promises an exciting lineup of events, with several notable contenders vying for victory. While the latest results for today's races are not yet available, a summary of the August 23 races offers a glimpse into the form of some of the participating greyhounds.
In the Sunderland races, Garry Hamilton's Not So Slow has a promising opportunity to build on his Arc Sprint Trophy heat win at 8.56, following his impressive 8.56 performance in the earlier event. Another sprinter, Tom Heilbron's Madabout Peck, who won well over 450m last week, is expected to repeat his form at 8.17 in Sunderland.
Meanwhile, at Romford, the prolific sprinter Dashing Dude aims to put recent defeats behind him at 3.38 in the rescheduled open over 262m. Kilmore Dancer, a red-hot favourite for champion trainer Mark Wallis, is tipped to make short work of inferior rivals over 575m at 8.19.
Alright Gordy, who won a similar 750m marathon last week, is expected to prove too strong for handler Dave Lewis once more at 8.36. Tullymurry Dylan is the favourite for the opener over 225m, while Tasty Turkish (8.54) can utilise his inside draw to score in the first maiden final over 400m.
Piemans Goalie is unopposable in the first qualifier at 7.27, bidding to land a hat-trick for Dave Mullins, and Brigadir Brindle has a great draw out wide and can chase FABULOUS SONIQUE for the forecast. Simon Deakin's King Bono, with good form over two bends, is an interesting runner at 8.01 stepping up in trip to 400m.
FABULOUS SONIQUE, the Coral Coronation Cup champion, returns to Romford for a race tonight at 9.46, where he excels over the 575m. Droopys Will has a great chance to get back to winning ways at 7.11 in a winner of one standard over 400m.
