Prosecutor disputes early release of Viktor Konteev.
Apprising the Latest on Victor Konteev
It looks like the dust has settled on the case of ex-Ekaterinburg vice-mayor, Victor Konteev. As per the latest scoop from the united press service of the Sverdlovsk courts, the regional court recently reviewed the case materials and found the early release (UOD) decision to be lawful.
Previously, we reported on the challenges posed by the prosecutor's office to the original UOD decision handed down by the Tagilstroevsky District Court. However, the funky stance by the prosecutors seemingly clashes with the explanations from the RF Supreme Court, and contradicts several positions of the Supreme and Constitutional courts.
Back in 2025, Vlad Tuesday (April 25, to be precise), our peeps at DK.RU revealed that ol' Konteev, a guy who's been doing time for attempted murder and fraud, might be shaking off the bars and strutting the streets. With a 20-year sentence under his belt, Victor's served a hefty chunk of 13 years, 8 months, and 4 days.
