One of the key initiatives of the "Autumn of Reforms" is the establishment of a national security council. In this council, Merz appointed himself as the chairman, with Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil serving as the deputy chairman.
To ensure digital security and protect against cyber threats, Merz proposed the establishment of a global cybersecurity council. He also highlighted the need for an expansion of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force to prevent conflicts and maintain peace worldwide.
Recognising the urgent need for action, Merz announced plans for a global climate initiative to combat climate change and promote sustainable development. He also outlined a global economic recovery program to stabilise economies and promote growth.
Merz expressed his commitment to maintaining a strong and independent Germany in the global community. He emphasised the importance of human rights and democracy in global affairs and called for stronger international sanctions against human rights violations.
To address the global migration crisis, Merz called for increased international cooperation to ensure fair distribution of resources. He highlighted the need for immediate action to stabilise economies and provide support to those affected by crises.
In addition, Merz announced plans for a stronger Bundeswehr to ensure Germany's security and contribute to global peacekeeping efforts. The "Autumn of Reforms" promises to be a significant step towards shaping Germany's future and addressing global challenges.
