Runoff Elections Scheduled for September 28
The runoff elections for the mayoral position and city council chairperson will take place on September 28, at the same polling stations as the election on September 14.
For those who require a mail-in ballot for the runoff, applications can be submitted from Thursday, September 18, via the website https://www.itk-rheinland.de/briefwahlantrag/. Voters should bring their previously issued voter notification cards to participate in the runoff elections. Those who do not have their voter notification card can still identify themselves at the polling station with their personal ID.
The mayoral runoff candidates are Erik Lierenfeld (SPD) and Anissa Saysay (CDU). For the city council chairperson position, a runoff is also necessary, with Katharina Reinhold (CDU) and Hakan Temel (SPD) as candidates.
