In the heart of Düsseldorf, the Hoferhof played host to an unforgettable carnival evening. The event, organised by the Düsseldorf Originals, was filled with music, dance, and a spirited atmosphere that echoed throughout the night.
The highlight of the evening was the performance by Prince Andreas I. and Venetia Evelyn, who captivated the audience with their microphone performances of the Prince and Princess's session song. The audience's enthusiasm was so infectious that the song had to be sung twice, a testament to the lively spirit of the crowd.
Thorsten Sander, known for his energetic performances, took the stage next, and the crowd enthusiastically sang and danced along to his lively music. The evening also featured a performance by the group "Boygroup" Hahnenschrei, who performed the Rote Funken Ratingen's songs to much acclaim.
The Hoferhof's sound system, however, faced a challenge due to space constraints for the Swinging Funfares and their equipment, causing it to collapse after the third song. But the spirit of the evening was not dampened, and the music continued.
A colorful piggy bank was circulating at Hoferhof, intended for the Prince and Princess's fundraising efforts. The money collected was meant for the Ambulant Children's and Youth Hospice (AKHD) and the Clara Schumann Music School, two worthy causes close to the hearts of the Düsseldorf Originals.
The evening also saw the honoring of Guido Pfeiffer with the Bund Deutscher Karneval's honorary medal. Lothar Höhring, CC President, and Janine Kemmer and Stefan Kleinehr, Vice Presidents, presented the award. In addition to the award, Guido Pfeiffer was also appointed as the honorary business manager of the Originals.
The Düsseldorf Originals have several upcoming carnival events, and tickets and further information can be found on their website here. The Benrather Schloss Graf couple made a visit to the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.
As the night wore on, the crowd made spontaneous "Hoppa" calls, a carnivalistic cry of the KG Regenbogen, and the evening continued with music. For further impressions of the evening, visit the Düsseldorf Originals' website here.
For those who wish to support the Düsseldorf Originals, information can be found here. Let's keep the carnival spirit alive and support these wonderful events!
