In the wake of Hans-Joachim Tessner's withdrawal from the Kaiserpfalzquartier project, a conversation between Mayor Urte Schwerdtner, Deputy Mayor Dirk Becker, and faction leaders of the Goslar City Council took place.

Following this discussion, the city factions have agreed on the further course of action for the development of the Kaiserpfalzquartier. The focus is now on initiating a comprehensive and transparent planning process, involving experts and stakeholders to develop a viable proposal that addresses the concerns raised, ensuring better communication and cooperation among the council and the community.

The building permit procedure for the Kaiserpfalzquartier will continue, and the urban development promotion programs around the Kaiserpfalz will proceed independently. The renovation of the green areas around the Kaiserpfalz is also part of the ongoing programs.

The parties aim to expedite the resolution of the ordinance for the Kaiserpfalzquartier development, with the goal of moving the project forward responsibly. It is reassuring to note that the development of the Kaiserpfalzquartier is not expected to come to a standstill.

In a second meeting yesterday afternoon, the parties reached this agreement. The former parking areas on the demolition site will be restored and made available for future use.

Mayor Schwerdtner emphasizes positive cooperation among council factions, and the agreement was reported in a press release from the city. However, a non-public council information session scheduled for September 2 has been postponed.

The parties are committed to working together to ensure the success of the Kaiserpfalzquartier project, fostering a collaborative and responsible approach towards urban development in Goslar.
