Prop Bet Selections for Javier Baez, Kyle Schwarber, and Zach Neto in MLB Games – Date: 8th May
On a Thursday ball game, three players I'm backing are Javier Baez, Kyle Schwarber, and Zach Neto. Let's dive into my MLB player prop picks for May 8.

MLB Prop Picks - May 8
- Javier Baez Over 1.5 Total Bases (-110, BetMGM)
- Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125, DraftKings)
- Zach Neto Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + Runs Batted In (-110, BetMGM)
Tigers vs Rockies Game 1 Player Props: Baez on a Hot Streak
The Tigers are facing the Rockies again, and Baez has a great opportunity to extend his current hitting streak to over ten games. His streak stands at eight after a two-hit game in the previous game, marking his third consecutive game with two hits.
Baez was not initially guaranteed an everyday role, but he's made it hard for manager A.J. Hinch to keep him out of the lineup since injuries to Parker Meadows and Matt Vierling. Baez leads the team with a .313 batting average, which increases to .333 against left-handed pitchers.
While lefty Kyle Freeland may prove to be a challenge, Baez has succeeded against right-handed hitters this season, hitting .345. And with the Tigers' offense performing well, they could push Freeland out of the game if Baez gets to him.
Given his recent trend of two total bases per game, I'll be backing another strong performance from Baez.
Phillies vs Rays Player Props: Conditions Aid Schwarber's Performance
Javier Baez's former teammate, Schwarber, is also in top form, with five hits in the first two games in Tampa. Schwarber has a hit in seven of his last ten games, and five of those hits have gone for home runs.
Schwarber leads the MLB in home runs with 12, and is fifth with a .991 OPS. The conditions in Tampa could play into Schwarber's hand, with the wind blowing out to his pull side.
Schwarber has not faced tonight's starter, Ryan Pepiot, but he has shown power against right-handers on the road, with a .318 road average and six of his homers this season coming away from home.
With Pepiot allowing eight home runs at home this season, Schwarber may have a promising chance to add another home run to his impressive streak.
Blue Jays vs Angels Player Props: Neto Looks to Extend His Streak
Neto missed the start of the season due to an injury but has certainly made up for lost time since his return. He is hitting .292 with four home runs, eight RBIs, and an OPS of .897. Neto is currently on a 12-game hitting streak and will face Chris Bassitt in this matchup.
Should Neto extend his streak to 13 games, he'll need at least one hit, run, or RBI to clear this line. He's been scoring runs consistently, with seven in the past 12 games, and driving in runs as well, with five in the same 12-game span. That's helped him record two hits + runs + RBIs in nine of the last 12 games, averaging 2.5 per game.
While Neto has limited experience against Bassitt, he has performed well against right-handers this season, with a .304 average. He might also see additional plate appearances against the Angels' bullpen, given his position near the top of the lineup. With those factors in mind, I like Neto for two hits + runs + RBIs on Thursday.

- Kyle Schwarber, despite not having faced tonight's starter, could extend his home run streak as he leads the MLB in home runs and is hitting well on the road, particularly against right-handed pitchers.
- Arriving at a hot streak, Zach Neto might extend his recent hitting streak to 13 games on Thursday when he faces Chris Bassitt, and his strong performance against right-handers indicates a potential for two hits + runs + RBIs.
- On Thursday, not just Baez and Schwarber, but Kyle, as well, will be among the hitters I'm putting my bet on in the MLB prop picks for May 8, following his impressive form backed by multiple hits and home runs in the previous games.
- Just like Kyle Schwarber, who could profit from the wind blowing out in Tampa, many hitters might thrive in the upcoming Thursday ball game, making it an intriguing day for MLB sports fans and bettors alike.
