Tawhid Gears Up for German 2000 Guineas at Cologne

Tawhid, a horse trained by Saeed bin Suroor, is set to compete in the German 2000 Guineas at Cologne. The colt, who will be ridden by Mickael Barzalona, finished fourth in the Craven Stakes in his most recent race.

Bin Suroor remains confident about Tawhid's performance, despite the ground condition being a key factor. He feels that his charge will benefit from a drop of rain, as Tawhid has shown his best form on soft ground. Last year, Tawhid demonstrated this preference at Nottingham and Newbury.

However, current sources do not provide specific recent performance or prospect details on Tawhid in the German 2000 Guineas. The race's winner in the recent past was a horse trained by the Graffard team, but that horse was not Tawhid.

Tawhid will face stiff competition in the race. Among his rivals are Ayaar, trained by Mick Channon, Boomshackerlacker by George Baker, Law Enforcement by Richard Hannon, One Word More by Charlie Hills, String Theory by Marco Botti, as well as local horses such as Global Bang, Limario, Mauriac, and Royal Fox.

Godolphin, Tawhid's owners, have previously tasted success in the German 2000 Guineas, having won the race twice before with Pacino in 2000 and Frozen Power in 2010.

The current ground condition for the race is described as good. However, given Tawhid's preference for soft ground, a change in the weather could potentially swing the race in his favour.

As the race approaches, all eyes will be on Tawhid and his jockey, Mickael Barzalona, as they aim to bring home another victory for Godolphin in the German 2000 Guineas.

Sports enthusiasts eagerly anticipate Tawhid's participation in the German 2000 Guineas at Cologne, a race he prepares for with his trainer Saeed bin Suroor and jockey Mickael Barzalona. Given Tawhid's proven success on soft ground, rain in the forecast could provide an advantage in this highly competitive sports event.
