Struggles with Body Image
Having been an elite athlete for over a decade, Boehm shares that attaining self-confidence and awareness of her body was a hard-fought battle. Her development took a bit longer, and she admits that body changes, particularly her bust, were sensitive topics for her.
Being in a weight-class sport like judo also brought challenges, as Boehm wrestled with the constant scrutiny of her weight, leaving her with numerous insecurities. But today, she proudly embraces her body, proclaiming, "I am proud of my body and its abilities."
Gearing Up for the Judo World Championships
Just ahead lies her next big challenge: the World Judo Championships in Budapest, Hungary, from June 13 to 20. Boehm is determined and aims to win the gold. She's done it before at the European Championships in 2022 and 2023, but last year she took third place.
She's trained tirelessly to prepare for this competition, and her sights are set high.
