Sally-Ann Dale, a highly influential figure in modern advertising, passed away on August 3, 2022, at the age of 55. Known as a founding partner and chief creation officer at Droga5, one of the world's leading creative agencies, Dale was pivotal in raising creative production standards in the industry.

A Creative Pioneer at Droga5

At Droga5, Dale oversaw work for clients such as Meta, Hennessy, The New York Times, Chase, and Amazon. Her leadership helped forge a new model of production that combined creativity, high standards, and collaborative care, growing a 180-person production studio renowned for its innovative and award-winning work.

Dale's impact extended beyond her creative achievements; she was celebrated as a mentor and servant leader who deeply valued and empowered her team. Peers described her as a "giant," "an elegant warrior," and a "quiet force" with impeccable taste and conviction. Some of the notable campaigns under her leadership included viral projects like "Still Free" for Marc Ecko and diverse high-profile work with big brands spanning sportswear, entertainment, finance, and tech.

A Passion for Maternal Health

In her personal life, Dale dedicated her time and skills to the nonprofit Saving Mothers, which works to prevent deaths during pregnancy and childbirth. In her memory, her family requested donations to this organization in lieu of flowers.

In 2024, Dale launched a consultancy exploring new forms of immersive storytelling.
