Hockey maestro Leon Draisaitl swipes another win for the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL playoffs, snagging a 5-4 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights in overtime. The German dynamo bagged his sixth goal in the ongoing playoffs - his third game-winning goal.

But, contrary to popular belief, Draisaitl refused to take all the credit for the win. "I didn't nail that goal - credit goes to Connor McDavid for setting it up," admitted the Cologne native, praising McDavid's brilliant move that paved the way.[1][2]

In a thrilling showdown, McDavid meticulously orchestrated a speedy rush, outmaneuvering Jack Eichel and passing the puck to Draisaitl for the decisive 5:4 score at 15:20.[2][4] Draisaitl called McDavid's assist "world-class," acknowledging the crucial role he played in the Oilers' triumph.

Draisaitl's performance has been nothing short of remarkable this season, particularly in crunch time. The Oilers have dominated their opponents with a favorable 15:3 goal difference in the third period and overtime, a +28 shot difference, and a staggering 95.4% save percentage by goalie Calvin Pickard.[2]

Despite dominating regular time, the Oilers struggled to hold on to leads against the Golden Knights. However, in overtime following a failed five-minute power play, Draisaitl and McDavid once again delivered a breathtaking performance that everyone was waiting for.[2][3]

As the series shifts to the Rogers Place for Game 3, holding a 2:0 lead seems nice, but both Draisaitl and Oilers' head coach Kris Knoblauch know that the Golden Knights are far from vanquished. "The Golden Knights will still bring their A-game," Draisaitl warns, urging his team to keep the pressure up.[2]
