Projected Mapping Spectacle at Anaheim Ducks' Opening: PIXERA Cracks the Ice for the Season Kick-off
Step into the exciting world of the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA, where a sensory overload awaits thanks to Quince Imaging's jaw-dropping projection-mapping installation! The visual Epicenter, based nearby Washington DC, was handpicked by the Anaheim Ducks and the National Hockey League for their home ground's AV overhaul.
In accordance with the brief from the Ducks, Quince Imaging was tasked with creating a top-tier, projection-mapping system, complete with powerful projectors, a 3D motion-capture system, and real-time data integration—all provided by Eric Gazzillo, Quince Imaging's VP of innovation, and his team of experts.

To achieve the mesmerizing visual explosion on the ice, Quince Imaging armed the Honda Center with two AV Stumpfl PIXERA servers sporting Director and Control CORE licenses, alongside twelve state-of-the-art Christie Griffyn 4K50-RGB pure laser projectors. These robust projectors take the content straight from source to the rink in awe-inspiring 4K resolution.
In addition to the PIXERA media servers and Griffyn projectors, Calibrated using Christie's Mystique Pro Venue Edition software, Quince Imaging employed an OptiTrack motion-capture tracking system, Ross Video ULTRIX-FR1 router, and Zelus visualizer technology for real-time player and game stats.
