Woelsendorf Celebrates Achievements and Anniversaries

In the picturesque town of Woelsendorf, the community came together to celebrate a series of notable achievements and milestones this year.

Deputy Franz Grabinger highlighted the strong bonds with local associations, emphasising the importance of their collaboration. One of the most memorable events was the participation in the pilgrimage festival, coinciding with the jubilee celebrations of the partnership in Pocinovice and the local celebration in Woelsendorf.

Mayor Alois Boehm expressed his gratitude to the councilors, administration, church committees, association chairs, and all citizens for their voluntary commitment and good cooperation. He thanked them for their tireless efforts, especially during the municipal elections in March, which resulted in a significant change to the town council.

Among the achievements, the start of the new funding program for broadband expansion was an important milestone. The purchase of four construction vehicles was another significant achievement, ensuring the town's infrastructure remains robust. Canal construction measures were also completed, marking another successful project.

The town also celebrated the 40th anniversaries of the Catholic Women's Association of Woelsendorf and the KLJB Altfalter. These milestones were a testament to the enduring spirit of the community and the importance of local organisations.

Several councilors stepped down this year, including Michael Pamler (18 years), Max Süß (12), Stefan Zimmermann (6), and Josef Pamler (2). Deputy Franz Grabinger expressed his appreciation for Mayor Alois Boehm's dedication to the community and recalled the celebrations for the mayor's 60th birthday. As a token of thanks, Maria Boehm, the wife of Mayor Alois Boehm, received a poinsettia for the many hours her husband could not spend at home due to his commitment to the municipality.

Construction activity was relatively low, with only two new residential buildings, three residential extensions, one change of use, one agricultural, and one other building project. Despite this, the town continues to thrive, thanks to the dedication and hard work of its residents.

As always, Woelsendorf remains a vibrant and active community, committed to progress and celebrating its rich history and traditions.

Other news from Woelsendorf includes discussions about various aspects of local politics, such as the results of the municipal elections and the resignations of several councilors. In addition, general-news coverage may highlight the role of local associations, like the Catholic Women's Association and KLJB Altfalter, in celebrating their 40th anniversaries, symbolizing the town's enduring community spirit.
