Houston, We've Got a Issue! 😮

Corey Conners is out of the 2025 US Open due to a wrist injury, y'all! The Canadian golf star was all set to play alongside Ryan Fox in the final round, but alas, he'll have to cheer from the sidelines now.

The rough at Oakmont this year is a beast, standing at a whopping 5-inches thick! The heavy rains on Friday night and Saturday afternoon made it even more challenging to play from. Sucks to be them, huh?

Michael Kim was Conners' playing partner during the third round, and he shared the gory details of the injury.

Kim wrote, "Corey Conners deserves a chapter in a horror novel today… plain and simple! When the dude STRIPES it, he doesn't miss a shot! A little draw, and he didn't miss a beat on the front nine. Could've been even lower with that short one on 3! But ... drumroll, the plugged bunker shot!"

Kim went on to describe how Conners hurt his wrist while trying to hit out of the greenside bunker. By the sound of it, the Canadian was clearly in pain and, let's face it, it took a lot of guts for him to even finish the round.

Kim also mentioned that many players' wrists are suffering this week due to the relentless demands of playing from the thick rough.

With a score of eight-over-par after three rounds and a T39th position, Conners wasn't exactly tearing up the course this year. But hey, he's had a pretty solid season on the PGA Tour so far, despite the recent setback. He has enjoyed a stellar year with just one missed cut from 15 events.

His best performance at the US Open came last year at Pinehurst, where he finished an impressive T9. He's also managed top-15s in all four Major Championships. 😉

Despite the unfortunate injury, Corey Conners' impressive golf skills were on display during the 2025 US Open. Even without him playing, the tournament still remains captivating, with the challenging rough at Oakmont making it a test for every golfer, including Ryan Fox and his new opponents.
