Bayern Munich, professional German football club, utterly demolishes inexperienced New Zealand squad. - Professional German soccer club FC Bayern is dismantling an amateur team from New Zealand.

In the sweltering heat of Cincinnati, Bayern FC triumphantly showcased their soccer prowess against the woefully overpowered amateurs of Auckland. The professional footballers trounced their opponents 10:0 (6:0) in an exhibition of a five-class gap between the two teams.

The showdown served as a casual warm-up for Bayern, who are aiming to claim the title in the FIFA Club World Cup's inaugural XXL format featuring 32 teams. It's clear that only the Boca Juniors from Argentina and the Portuguese heavyweights Benfica Lisbon stand a chance at taking Bayern's spots in Group C.

The Munich powerhouse faced their greatest challenge in the small TQL Stadium, surrounded by 21,152 enthusiastic spectators. Already by halftime, they had scored six goals, thanks to Jamal Musiala's mesmerizing performance, which led to three hat-trick goals on his comeback. Top scorers included Kingsley Coman (6/21 minutes), Sacha Boey (18), Michael Olise (20/45+3), and Thomas Müller (44), who was already cheered by the crowd during the team presentation.

Jamal Musiala Hat-trick Highlights Comeback

Shortly after the restart, Bayern eased up slightly. Vincent Kompany made several substitutions, including recalling Musiala. The talisman delivered a stunning performance, scoring brilliantly with a curler (68), from a penalty spot (73), and then securing his hat-trick in the penalty area (84). Müller followed up with the tenth goal (89).

Musiala nearly allowed Auckland to score an honor goal, expertly blocking David Yoo (69). Leroy Sané remained on the bench for the entire 90 minutes following his recent transfer to Galatasaray Istanbul.

Next up: Bayern FC battles Boca Juniors

Following the final whistle, the Bayern players hurriedly departed for their chartered flight back to their training camp in Disneyland Orlando. They face their next preliminary round opponents, the Boca Juniors, in Miami on Friday evening (local time). The fierce battle against one of football's most decorated teams will no longer revolve around the sheer difference in skill, as against the Champions League winners of Oceania, Auckland.

Coach Kompany couldn't help but mention in his interviews that his players needed to stay focused. He brought attention to England's meager 1:0 victory over soccer minnows Andorra in the World Cup qualifiers.

"We are facing a team that will strive to form a tight formation and capitalize on opportunities," Kompany noted. "We won't get much praise if we win, but we will take the game very seriously and do our job."

Kompany's players relished the opportunity to show off their skills in a competitive setting, with wingers Coman and Olise stealing the show. New addition Jonathan Tah had an impressive debut as the uncontested defensive leader, setting up Coman's opening goal. Spare parts Lennart Karl (17) and previous injury victims Musiala and Dayot Upamecano made their entrance during the second half, each set to play a crucial role in the tournament.

Coach Kompany has divided the tournament into two stages. "The aim is to win the first tournament, which is the group stage. And then the second tournament begins." During the knockout phase, Bayern may clash with top contenders such as Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, or perhaps even Borussia Dortmund, if they progress that far.
